Fabio Gallucci

I have been using the MP3 feature a lot recently. I turned it on this morning and listened to Fabio Gallucci.

I love the playing. But what I want to point out is the tone. What amazing creamy authoritative tone he has on that mandolin.

Anyone know what mandolin he is playing on that recording?

There was a thread about tone a while back, asking what tone we are all striving for. Well for me, thats it!

Pasquale SCALA builds mandolins in a shop he runs with his son in a small town south of Naples. Here he is holding the mandolin he built for me,which is a twin of Fabio Gallucci's. It does have a wonderful sound.
BTW, Fabio and guitarist Antonio Pilato will be performing in New England at the end of this month.
