Hello,

Just bought this mandolin from Hobgoblin music in the UK (who are excellent to deal with BTW).
They kindly said I could return it if it was not to my liking and I should get it tomorrow.
It was made by Michael Foulds of Derby in 1998. It has a spruce top and maple back and sides.
I cant really find any info on Mr Foulds, just wondered if any of you (UK members I would think) had come across him?
Cheers,
Oliver.

Trevor over at The Acoustic Music Co. might be the one to ask. Let us know what it's like!

Cheers,
Jill

nice looking mandolin - good price (i checked) - beautifully proportioned - nice tight grain on the sound board and i especially like the shape of the tuning board. looks like you've got some quality tuners as well. good buy - complimenti!

Thanks,
I agree it looks good and it sounded LOUD when it was played over the phone.
We shall see on the morrow!

Curious to know what the scale length is. Looks short.
