I loved this video -- and there are a couple others like it! Why didn't this happen to me?

Don't you just love picking the cello for the bass line? The kids are clearly taking probably classical or conventional music lessons but Dad is seeing to it that they play some down home music too :))

It's great to see young folks learning to pick...the bluegrass tradition will live on! When kids see other kids playing Bluegrass music, it makes it OK for them to take a crack at it...it's a wonderous thing.

The California Bluegrass Association has a great Bluegrass music program for children called 'Kids on Bluegrass' and the Southwest Bluegrass Association has 'Bluegrass in the Schools'...you should hear some of these youngsters...they learn to play and sing so quickly.

These programs and others around the country like them, rely on volunteers and donated instruments and accessories to make it happen. Please support the programs in your area in any way you can to perpetuate the music.
