here's the latest econo from my shop today, it's an oil varnished model. This is the first of my new curly maple that I found in an old barn loft near where I live, I think it's great old wood......

I always said that if I was a millionaire, I'd be making mandolins anyway and giving them to people that deserved one.

Wow, I love the finish on that one! Been meaning to stop by and see what you've got freshly built. Looks like you've got some good ones...

Here's a couple of clips from this past weekend with my #254.

The usual fantastic mandos from Ken R. Oh, by the way Satchel, you need to get over to the Silver Angel Social Group and join up...:)

This one is heading my way probably next week. Yes, I am very pleased :)
Ken has given me the okay to share some of the "in progress" photos he has sent my way.
He first sent me shots of the neck

Wow - another awesome-grained back on a Silver Angel. There just ain't anything 'plain' coming out of the House of Silver Angel these days, is there? :)

I had a choice of one piece back or curly maple from an old barn loft. I went with the old stuff.

Okay, a final followup on this one. I've been running it through its paces since I got it. It's loud, plays easy, and I really like the tone. It just what I needed to go with what I already had. It's a keeper. Ken put J-75's on it. I've never used those strings, but it's really sounding good -- I will hesitate to try something else.
I played on the front porch this morning with the rain coming down. The birds sang. Life is good today.
