I discovered this album existed by accident - it is REALLY LOVELY.
Amazon doesn't have any, although someone did post a good review here (http://www.amazon.com/Luz-das-Cordas-Marco-Pereira/dp/B00005LNLT). I downloaded the tracks from iTunes. It's a Kuarup issue, and although it's available from a couple of places I just wish it were in more general circulation because it sure has many beautiful moments. The title track, by Pereira, is very special. Hamilton and Marco play with one mind. it's a biiiiiiig mind too!

Thats a great album! I'd like to say its my fav of his but it turns out they ALL are!

Yes, thatīs one of my alltime favorite albums. It seems to be a underestimated album to me. Interestingly Hamilton was still playing the eight strings Bandolim at that time and it sounds fabulous to my ear. The musical possibilities that the 10string Mando offers aside, I often felt that his sound was somewhat better then.
Marco Pereira is great.
