I like it! It is good to be different and I don't think you will be able to lose that one in a crowd very easily! Congrats.

I've heard if you put it in a brown paper grocery sack, and leave it at room temperature, it will ripen
to a golden sunburst color. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

I like it! Always good to see something different. I especially like how the wood nymph string dampener thingamabob blends in. Nice!

Looks very cool !

By far the wildest blend of green I have seen. I bet its going to sound (and smell! LOL) awesome right when it comes out of the box for the first time.
cheers and congrats!

I love the custom work they do. here's what my, not so traditional custom Weber looks like.
When It was done,Vern had just come out with the arm rest tail peice so I had him add one on. It looks and works great. I want to put one on my old Bitterroot now. It is louder than you would expect from a small bodied A.

Sweet. I can't believe I like it! It looks great!

very pretty-now all you need is an oval hole one in "beanburst".

Had you simply described it, I would have been real negatively impressed. Seeing the photos, it is pretty cool. The blue deniim one on their custom page is interesting too.

by the way the word blanked out there is not a bad word.

hi! thanks for the surprisingly positive reception. ;]

I admit I was pretty scared when I sent in the paint chip, but I was also tired of plain old brown sunbursts, and if you know me you'll know I'm not a shy girl.

I picked it up this morning at Old Town School of Folk Music (Chicago) and I am so happy with it I can't stop looking at it and holding it and playing it. it sounds *amazing* right out of the case, I can't get over that.

the only drawback I'm finding is the one I've found with other Webers--it's so pretty it's hard to stop looking at it and keep playing it! but I think I'll get over that soon. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

I'll post more pictures when I can put the thing down long enough to take some. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

After seeing this color, it reminded me of my complexion the time I got seasick, and I just had to gulp down some PEPTO-BISMOL. You might try a very thin coat on your Absaroka!

I think Weber is pushing the envelope with the custom inlays. They could be tempting lawsuits from other makers, MK - Dragonfly or Gibson - Lloyd Lures!

That mando makes me want to say, "Happy Saint Patty's Day," or at least, "Happy Purum!"

Lloyd lures. LOL. I'm still waiting for the Pac Rim Rroyd Roars myself.

At first I thought the inlay on your guacamandole was a flying pig and I started wondering why green and not pig pink? Then I realized it was a bird and started wondering why a bird and not a couple doritos, or beer bottles. Then I started thinking about an amber ale colored mandolin with hop cones inlayed on the peghead, but hops are green and so is your mandolin. So now I like the bird on the green mandolin. I like it a lot.

Thanks for the journey,
