In the limited time I've been involved in the mandolin world, I began hearing the name Lynn Dudenbostel come up repeatedly. Well, it can't be that common a name (can it?).
When I was growing up, my family dentist's last name was Dudenbostel. I contacted the luthier and he believes my former dentist was his great uncle. Mr. Dudenbostel's parents were from a town about an hour from where I grew up, as it turns out.
