Going after "Swallow Tail Jig" again

Thile teaches it on his Homespun DVD. I tried it a few years ago when I had just bought the DVD. Couldn't get it then.

Sat down with a Celtic flute player this past weekend at Strawberry and got most of it.

Cool tune. Two chords. 6/8 time. Works on your ring finger-middle finger dexterity.

You know I got that Thile DVD and book. Couldn't get into it at all. Chris and I weren't hearing the same tune... I got rid of the dvd and book and found a recording of the Swallowtail Jig on Youtube by a trad Irish band. I had no problem learning it after that. I guess I'm just not in tune with prodigys...
