I just finished off work on this all-birch (pearwood fretboard) Kleartone from the late 1920s or 1930s. It's a great player with a lot of boom, pop, and sustain, but like old birch blues guitars it's very forward and direct, with not a whole lot of subtlety. Still, I was surprised that it sounds as good as it does, especially after jacking the top back into position.

Nice one, again, Jake. I still wish you would show a before shot. These after restoration shots are so good I bet I'm not alone in wanting to see them before you did your work on them.

You know, I think I might actually have a before shot. I tend to take them of instruments that I look at and groan when I open them up from the post. Thanks for the kudos, though! I'll go see what I can find you. :)
