OK, I'm biased. Here's the headstock inlay Dan Voight and I designed together for my custom F-style.

I have a beautifull mandolin at home for a couple of days .
this mando was built by the luthier Herve Coufleau from Burgundy France .
This mandolin will be played during the coming masterclass by Byron Berline .
He will play on stage with Jim Hurst (who just arrived at home and sleep in my bed) and Alan Munde who is driving a car between Paris and Lyon right now . I'm plugged on the 400 volts , a great week end for us .

Here is my Poe mandola #1. The wire is a bit thick, but the abalone is lovely.

That Herve Coufleau headstock is very cool. Actually all of them are very tasty. I like them from the traditional torch and wire to the modern designs folks have made. It's amazing to think folks get mandolins with inlay as exquisite as this and get the great tone they're after.

I'll take some new photos of the Poe mandola and start a new thread later today.
