I finally got the pictures of the new (old) labels in my Master. Had them replaced last week by Dave Harvey at Gibson. These are the same lables used in the Distressed Model I`m told.

Mandoman, what is this post supposed to be about... It feels like I walked into a private conversation uninvited right in the middle of it.

period accurate seems to be very faded pencil, not micropoint sharpie. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

I'm confused as well. The labels are the same as those in my Master Model;why did they need to be changed?

It was printed on 80 year-old paper maybe?

Yeah.

Hard to translate in a picture. Dave found some 80 yr old paper and (once printed) is a dead ringer for the paper stock used on the Loars. Pretty cool, if you're into that sort of thing....which I am.

That is pretty cool. Where did he find the paper, if I may ask. The label looks great.

Hello Buckley,

Dave found the paper in old books printed in the early 20`s.

It really looks great, because they are yellowed as opposed to the white paper used on current models.
