My wife is an interior designer, and so subscribes to Architectural Design. This month's issue came with a "Stars' Homes" supplement, which featured Christopher Guest's and Jamie Lee Curtis' home in LA. Their spread featured a photo of them posed on their living room sofa, with Jamie to Christopher's right, and a Collings A-style in Christopher's lap. Cool, huh?

Yeah, my guess is that's the mando he played in the movie "A Mighty Wind." I read an interview with him once and he was actually a professional mando player for a short time in the early folk scene, backing up Arlo Guthrie and Loudon Wainwright.
