Dave Harvey from Gibson was having some problem uploading some images so I'm helping him out. He'll be chiming in with some text to go with these pictures as soon as he has some time.

When I first saw those pictures I though wow, the new master models realy look like Loars, and Then I noticed the H-5. I would love to be staring at those inperson.

What a treat, (clockwise from top right) Danny Robert's December 1922 , Alan Bibey's July 9 1923, an October 1924 H-5, and a December 11 1923. An incredible quartet of Loar signed Gibsons instruments.

I thought they were all F-5s and it was just parallax that made one look bigger. :)

Gorgeous! They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but I am beholding some beauty! Listen, if you need someone to play them and keep them young and lively :mandosmiley: I'll be happy to help. I'll find room in my schedule ... :)

I would surely sound the best on the one without the tuners! That's great to have so many on your bench at once. I hope you guys are collecting as much data on them as you can.

My first thought was, "Man, Gibson REALLY has the distressed thing figured out!"

Scottie, this is Danny's December 1922. I'm sure he enjoyed telling you about his mandolin as much as you liked hearing about it! Thanks again Mike for the help posting the pictures.
