Wow. That is awesome. I think Tom builds some of the best looking mandolins out there. They sound pretty good too. ;)

Mine is a sight to behold too. It's so pretty that I was almost afraid to touch it when I first got it.

Is that yours?

Exquisite. That headstock inlay and extra flourish on the pickguard are superb. The kicker is you know it's gonna sound so good too. Congrats on the build and to the new owner.

OMG !!! - That's perfection in wood. I have to say it's one of the most beautiful Mandolins that i've ever seen - congratulations,

Oh my ... that is exquisite art, and I imagine it is going to sound just as gorgeous in the hands of a skilled player.

Tom sure builds a great mandolin. I had the chance to play Steve Smith's Ellis when I was in Las Cruces, New Mexico doing a day one-on-one mandolin intensive workshop with Steve. Steve's Ellis F5 is amazing, and so is Steve. A great teacher and a truly gifted musician.

Is that the headstock that you were showing "in process," Tom?
It really turned out a sight to behold.
Another example of "Mandolin art"!

I visited Tom's shop during my recent Texas tour and got to play that
mandolin before it left the shop; it is a home run sonically as well
as visually.

I agree. I went to one of his workshops in Dallas and got a lot out of it. He didn't have his ellis with him, though, but the shop owner had just gotten one a few days prior and wow, they sound as good as they look. I'd love to do a one on one with him. In a few hours he took my tremolo from terrible to just really bad :mandosmiley:

Incredibily beautiful mando. I don't think I've ever seen a better looking headstock. I really like the flower pot/fern hybrid design. Congrats!
