HI all,
I have an old Gibson A which has wonderful tone. I'd like to use it in jams for Celtic and Old Timey tunes. The tuners "slip" a little and I was looking for opinions. If I put new(er) tuners on it, say Grovers (or ?) and keep the old tuners (in storage), would that be a huge mistake? I enjoy playing it and would like to keep the original parts, but it would be nice to have some "modern" tuners.
