On a longshot, I 'd thought I'd see if any pickers were up in the Toronto area. I'll be in town Tuesday and Wednesday night and would love to pick with any cafe folks or at a jam.

I recall Cary (cafe name) told me he's in a jam on Wednesdays, and they then frequently break off and go see their teachers perform at the Silver Dollar on Wednesdays--and I know first hand that the bluegrass at the Silver Dollar on Wednesdays (Crazy Strings) is top shelf stuff. If you go, say hello to Andrew Collins for me!
