Is there an awesome site like Mandolin Cafe for Banjo players ? A friend of mine is looking to purchase one (no idea why, the mandolin is as good as it gets).

www.banjohangout.org is a good site for banjo information. They are not always as civil as the fine folks here at the cafe, and they can be a bit more direct with their opinions. Nonetheless, it is the best place for banjo information on the web that I'm aware of.

Welcome to the Hangout; a great site for all things banjO. Are your a Scruggs-style picker or a clawhammerist?

A friend, eh? Sure... :whistling:

We all know what it means when someone says "a friend of mine has this problem..."

Tell your "friend" we wish him/her luck with the banjo

As you might expect, discussion is a bit more coarse and a bit louder. ;)
