GORGEOUS old 2 point (http://cgi.ebay.com/Vincenzo-De-Luccia-Mandolin-from-the-late-1920s_W0QQitemZ260338350422QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_D efaultDomain_0?hash=item260338350422&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1419%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C 240%3A1318%7C301%3A0%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50)...

I've got a box with some of my kids "Tooth Fairy" teeth in it, and some from a puppy long since gone... I wonder if they would take a handful of those? If so, I'll share the mando with you Tracy.

Well the current price ($455) is still less than having three teeth extracted. If you factor in the cost of a three tooth bridge, it is much less. :)

That is a nice instrument. Seems a decent price as of now ~$455.

Tracy, if you give up any teeth, you will have to move south of the Ohio river. It's the law. ( Perhaps we need a missing teeth emoticon)

a) Unfortunately, I did not see 'equal trade for human teeth' listed as a payment option, and I do not have enough spare money (is there such a thing?) laying around to purchase it.

b) Got it covered: hubby started a business in Florence, KY last summer, so as soon as the bank will let us move and our house sells, we're headed south of the o-HI-o. I'd fit right in down there! :whistling: (through the gap in my teeth)

I've been a KY resident for fifteen years :disbelief: now - and have experienced the loss of only one tooth - and that was partially from a 25 year-old hockey injury. A person with only a gap in the teeth might be considered a "wannabe" or at least considered "uppity". :)

Good luck with the move. Always room for more Mandolinists in this state!

If you and Jamie bid with teeth, I will go in with you two for joint custody. Are molars bringing more $$$ than incisors these days?

Be very carefull... If you give up too many teeth, you automatically become B@njo players! As mandolin players, we are responsible to maintain maximum tooth count to keep away from the B-side! :mandosmiley:

Jamie's son had some of those before his head started floating around in fields by itself.

Wow, I hope that doesn't happen to me now! Is that a side-effect?

That is gorgeous! That's what I love about my vintage Italian bowlbacks (I have four of them). They're just so beautiful and have a mystique about them. Nothing made today is comparable. I do prefer to play a nice modern A style though!

Here are a couple of other DeLuccia mandolins. I don't have info for the maker of the odd-shaped cutaway but the two point is labelled similar to the current one but the maker is Gennaro DeLuccia. I do not own either of them... then again I still have most of my teeth.

Yep, with as many as you have, you'd be gumming your food if that's what you'd paid for them with! :disbelief:

Jamie's son looks much cuter with his teeth in... guess now I know why my husband didn't kiss me at midnight last night! ~:>
