Deleting user comments

Dear admins,

To try and keep my user page fresh, I deleted a couple of comments that had been there for a while. Now, I see the notice "message deleted by jasona", which is sort of counter to what I was trying to accomplish. Do all users see these messages, or only me as admin of that page? Can those messages be completely wiped, or barring that, the messages restored?

I am probably enjoying these new toys you gave us too much. I hope I get my mandolin back soon to save me from myself!

When I first looked at these I saw the deleted tags, but then I thought as a mod I might have rights to see those so I logged off the cafe and went back in and did NOT see the previous posts with their deleted tags. So I would imagine others can't see that you have removed them.
