The good folk at Patuxent Music are applying the finishing touches to what the liner notes describe as the first all-instrumental project from Frank Wakefield.Ownself Blues (Patuxent CD-182) is a collection of 13 tunes of which Wakefield wrote 11. About time someone recorded Frank solo...playing those "Jesus Loves This Mandolin Player" tunes,
I'm sure he has at least a Cd's worth of those in him too.......

He recorded some of his "Jesus Loves" pieces on a LP with Country Cooking backing him up about 1972, I am pretty sure it is a Rounder LP. Pete Wernick's wife Nondi Leonard sang some duets with him.
