Well, you can go the cheap route with these Adamas strings:

I use these for my Crafter beater/camping mandolin, and they are made for Ovation mandolins. Or, you can contact Mandohack here on the board for something better.

I think it will depend on what you are playing, and what kind of sound you are looking for. You can also use guitar strings if you have the string diameters that you want.

I got some GHS Custom Shop for my Ovation. Bought a dozen sets a while back, but I can't remember from where. They are 10-15-24-36.

The Adamas guages are (light)10-14-24-36,(medium light) 11-16-24-38, and(medium) 11-16-24-38.

Next time I get strings for it, I will be buying individual Elixer strings and making up my own sets, more along the medium light gauge.

First Quality Music (http://www.fqms.com) has different brands indiviual strings in packages of 4. Look under guitar strings

If you get really stuck you can resort to buying single ball end strings for guitar in the gauges you need. You'll just be spending more and cutting more off the length.

Theres a store near me that has a box of random strings, .25 per or 5 for a buck. They don't often have the high E, but it's great for my mandobird otherwise, not sure if other places do this.

Get balls from dead guitar strings, then you can choose anything.
My fender electric is a thru the body type bridge, so I got 4 cello balls and double them up. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/blues.gif http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/blues.gif
