This is #006 just completed last week. It is a WF-5 with bearclaw adirondack top and sugar maple back, sides and neck with tortoise binding. The neck is 1 3/16" at the nut with a 12" radius fb. Has a Bill James tp, Steve Smith bridge and Gotoh tuners with cape buffalo buttons. I decided to do an ebony pg for this one.

Now that's a Wilson any of us could be Cast Away (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0162222/) with. Looks great. Nice photos too!

Craig, I really like the looks of that mandolin. The color of the burst is really complimented by the tortise binding! Awesome!!

That's sweet! ...and now that we can embed MP3's there will be some sound clips, no?

Thanks for the nice comments. To answer a couple of questions, no it hasn't found a home yet and before I can post sound clips I'll have to get some decent recordings. I'll see what I can do about all of that.

If it sounds half as good as it looks you got a winner.

That back is simply amazing, old friend (and I DO mean old friend)......you're gettin' mighty good at this, y'know.

I am impressed with the result, given how few you have made so far. Then again, I own the #6 from another builder, so would not be surprised you have learned enough already to make a killer mandolin!
