Here's my transcription. The (A) in the D(A)D is optional. The key to the song is the vi chord, with the bass lead singer. Have fun. This is to my my one of *the* Stanley gospel songs. Right up there with Cry from the Cross (which was not written by the Stanleys).

(Sorry about the ------- but the spaces in my post are eliminated once I post it, although they are there when I re-edit!)

* Harbour of Love (C Stanley)

Stanley Bros: G
JMB: F

(arrangement by the Johnson Mountain Boys, album "Blue Diamond")
(parts are standard four-part bluegrass harmony: tenor, lead, baritone, bass)

[guitar: last line turn]

[verse: solo]
--------------------G ------------C----------------- G
There's coming a time, on the great judgement morning
---------------------------------------- D
When the Saviour will welcome you home
------------------ G ----------- C --------- G
Will you be prepared, for the journey to heaven
--------------------------------------- D ---------- G
On the great ship that carries God's chosen ones home?

[chorus
[lead with tenor-baritone-bass trio harmony echo]
-------------------- G ------------------- C ------ G
Oh the water's so deep [echo], on the river of Jordon [echo]
-------------------------- G -------------------------------- D ----- (A) --- (D)
And the lights shine so bright [echo], [all]from heaven above [tenor-baritone echo]
------------------------------------------ C
[lead-tenor duet] And the midnight is past [baritione-bass echo],
--------------- G
the new day is dawning ([bartione] from heaven on high)
------------------------------ Em ----------- D ---------------------- G ----- (C)(G)
[bass]Oh the great ship will an-[echo][all]chor, in the harbour of love

[guitar: last line turn]
[verse]
If you're wandering in sin, away from God's teaching
Won't you ask Him to show you the way?
Fall down on your knees, in the chapel next Sunday
And meet all your friends, up in heaven some day

[chorus]
[repeat last line]

Thanks for the tip! I grew up with typewriters when all we had was monospaced fonts....

BTW the bass part I mentioned is a real test of a bluegrass gospel bass singer. I love Eddie Stubbs' sound on the JMB version -- down in F he really goes "way down deep" to get that vi chord. The original had George Shuffler, I am fairly sure.
