I'm sure that this Randy Wood is nice, but not THAT nice.

Hey nice distressing on that one, eh?

I love these eBay sellers who have an outrageous price on their instruments but don't want to bother taking some decent photos. Why would anyone bother to bid?

Happy bidding.

The ad has the serial #, maker's name, and the condition is used. What more do you need to know?

Nothing wrong with dreaming....... I just hate to have to pay someone to dream. Ebay is going to get their fees for listing and the seller will get no interest at this price. Sure he will take less but how much less from that start? I don't think if this had been Monroe's Randy Wood No. 3 would it fetch this much. :))

Do you think he just messed up and added one too many zeros? I just can't imagine why anyone in their right mind would think that mandolin would be worth $80k. And no feedback too....

He got the comma in the right place for 80,000.

Looks like one of those "OK Honey. I'll put the mandolin on eBay and try to sell it." listings. You have to be sure your opening bid is high enough to keep someone from buying the thing.

Been there. Done that. And the dang guitar SOLD!

Good point! I had the same thing happen to me with one of those Kingston electric mandolins.

Seems to have been revised down to 8K.

Yup, starting bid $8,000 but now it has a reserve.

"No really Honey. That isn't too high for a starting bid."

"*&^*%**^"

"Oh, OK. I'll lower the starting bid but I'm putting a reserve on it. I'm not gonna give this thing away!"

The best way to put a mandolin for sale and actually hang on to it is to put it in the Classifieds...

Just Kidding...
