If you find yourself in San Antonio for business or pleasure you might want to stop by The Landing club in the Hyatt Regency. It's the home of the Jim Cullum Jazz band (that you may have heard on the NPR show "Live from the Landing"). The rythm player is Howard Elkins and he plays an archtop tenor guitar and a tenor banjo, as appropriate for the tune being played. He's really good and this is a great jazz band, of the New Orleans school.
