Now call me naive, or uninformed, but: where in heaven's name is Bill Monroe's Website? Now I know Mon was a child of the early 20th Century, and probably wasn't too awfully web-savvy, especially seeing how the Internet was basically an infant in September 1996 when he passed, but there oughtta be a site! I know there was one a while back, but it slipped from view. There is no www.billmonroe.com, it's being parked by a discount domain-hosting service.
Maybe it's fitting, I don't know. Maybe the lack of a cyberspace portal is a reflection of Big Mon's refusal to go electric....and keep the gift as a word-of-mouth folk-of-the-wood kind of legend. Kinda like the Cafe, I suppose. But it just strikes me as odd that there isn't a site.
