My buddy Erdwin from across the Atlantic just pointed me to the music of Frederic Hamel (http://fred.hamel.9online.fr).
Some of his tunes are on MP3 here: Hamel MP3 (http://stage.vitaminic.fr/frederic_hamel).
Any of our European community tell me more about this artist? (I can't translate French...)

Hey Ted-

Translation of the bio:

He began playing music at 16, playing folk guitar, then banjo. Toured from 1987-91 with Blackjack, a bluegrass group. In 91 he took up the mandolin and became a professional musician, playing in several bands of widely differing styles: cajun, New Orleans, pop/show tunes, jazz, celtic, and italian.

Thanks!
I also just found a cool webstie that will help me translate not only French websites,
but Portugese as well (oh boy! Choro!!):
Translate web page or text (http://world.altavista.com/babelfish/tr)

You just paste the website in the appropriate box (http://fred.hamel.9online.fr/) and select the translation.
Maybe some of you already knew about Alta Vista.
I notice the ordering is in Euros, but has anyone had experience using Paypal or credit card with US dollars?

Dang, forget French, I wish you could just master English at an acceptable level!
