just noticed that the inner curve of my scroll - as it sweeps down in a curve and heads for the "v" - is not coated with nitrocellulose lacquer. i assume this unvarnished area will be more susceptible to moisture. without stripping the whole thing down and starting from scratch, is there anything i can do to correct it? ... is nitrocellulose lacquer available over the counter? ... don't have a spay - can i brush it on?
