Gibson F5L (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3701945613&category=10179) played by Nigel Tufnel (Christopher Guest) on Spinal Tap's "Break Like the Wind" tour.

Absurdly overpriced, but the popularity of Spinal Tap might be enough to sell this item to someone who otherwise knows nada about mandolins.

I saw that this afternoon and got a good chuckle. I wouldn't be surprised if that gets listed a few times, like the infamous Essra Mohawk/Frank Zappa mandolin.

Oh Eric,,,, I almost had myself trained to forget about that Ezra thingy.
Now I am going to have nightmares about it showing up again.
Oh, the inhumanity!!!

At least if you lined up 100 people on the street, a few of them would be able to tell you who Nigel Tufnel was. Can't say the same for Essra Mohawk.

Besides -- the proceeds from the sale of this mandolin will benefit kids with kidney disease!

8K list "Maestro" in an out of touch with reality land , but obcene wealth is what Hollywood has as its religion.
everyone else compete with minimum wage and canned music.
5K take it or leave it is already there. (nothing personal)
