With so much interest in my new mandolin, I decided to show a few pictures or eye candy so to speak. It is a great mandolin!

The Headstock. #I love the Maple truss cover. #It is the little things that make it all worth while!

I just posted this on another thread but it sure applies here too. This is my Moon Beam #24. 1 Piece cedar top. 2 piece sugar maple back and sides. Plays like a dream! Sounds really balanced and warm.

Thanks! The tailpiece is an cast Allen. It is engraved with moonbeam and his logo. It's nice.

Wow! #phynie that thing looks awesome! #I love the natural top. #The pick guard really pops! #Love it!

Dan, yours looks good too! #I am just not a #traditionalist. # http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

you ordered your daughter a mandolin? That's too cool! I am sure she will have an awesome christmas!

The new logos are much MO BETTA! #I can’t wait to see pictures of the finished product. #I wish my dad would buy me one.

I am very tempted to custom order one of these beautiful mandolins. #I might have to break down and drive to see Glenn, before the wait really gets to out of hand. #

I like the Monteleone style tailpiece. #I dig the special logo engraving, but the #traditional looks to much like the Gibson for me.

Nice mandolins guys. #I drove to visit Glenn a couple of weeks ago and was very impressed with all of his work. #He is producing some very consistent mandolins. #Loud and uniformed. #Moon Beam is at the top of my list for a new mandolin. #They are coming out with a Loar replica F5 soon. #Completely traditional (No offense Bob) mandolin. #I just can't decide whether to sell my Collings MF5 or my Pheonix BG. #http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif

Mav- I was wondering when you would pick up on this one http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laugh.gif

I DID IT! #I broke down and scheduled an appointment to play a few Moon Beam Mandolins. #

As far as choosing a hand made instrument. #It is hard to beat the consistency of non-factory made mandolins. #Small independent builders are less likely to be worried about their next smoke break or what they are doing "off the clock". #To me there is no descision to be made. #

Sell the Collings. #Although I would prefer the BG, the MF5 is worth more will be easier to sell quickly. # #http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
