I've made the decision to jump from my local cable service to a satellite dish sytem. Recently Dish Network has offered a "local channel package." Do any of you have DN and does it offer a dedicated bluegrass channel on its digital music selection?

I listen to the Digital Audio SIRIUS Bluegrass channel that is broadcast on DISH network. It came with my America Top 120 package. Nice channel.

Williard,

Check out this thread from last week

Dish Network/Sirius bluegrass channel (http://www.mandolincafe.net/cgi-bin/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=3;t=16380)

The more I listen to it the more I like it.

i would also recommend;

leasing the equipment
getting the reciever that allows recording of shows
making sure your package has RFDtv for the Cumberland Highlanders (bluegrass from Ky)

I've got Dish Network. I get the bluegrass music channel 24/7, plus The Cumberland Highlanders TV show on RFDTV which I absolutety love.
