Hi Folks,

I want to warn you all that you can expect some disruption to the message board Monday morning the 11th of August.

This is part of a large upgrade Scott & I have been working on for a couple of weeks to improve the speed and services for these web pages.

Our expectation is that some folks will see the old message board showing a "read-only" version while the changes percolate through the internet, and that most of this disruption will be gone by noon EST Monday August 11th.

I'll post replies to this thread with status!

Changing the board's status to "Read Only" (ie., you will not be able to post, just read) will occur at approximately 10 p.m. Central time today. Once the move filters to your location you'll be able to post again.

A reminder that the board is going to be in "Read Only" mode for several hours now while we're switching servers. That means you can read posts, but can't start new threads or reply to them until we've finished the move.

The move has been made, and I'm seeing folks logged in and posting on the new site (this message is only posted on the new site).

When I tab to message board on the main page - the last active topic appears from 10:52 8-10-08. I can access new posts(0700 today) from the actual message board individual topics - but these are not appearing on my "main page" http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rock.gif #

I #am in Kentucky . So we generally expect most "new fangled", worldly improvements to take root here about twenty years later than elsewhere. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif
