Picked this up on Ebarf. I got several luthier items from them and they combined shipping -which was lightening-fast btw. It sounds like a slightly banjoey mandolin. Plays nicely though and looks like ... it belongs on the wall of a Victorian Brothel - kinda overdone on the inlay and with a strange "knob" on the headpiece, like a hat-hanger. Great deal though.

Saw something with a similar shape in a Naples brothel back in '56, standing in a dark corner. It is difficult to determine the origin of some, but this has that Asian appearance with all of the inlay work. You might really enjoy making music with it.

That's where I got it:
Antonio death-warmed-over Tsai.
I also got an F5 coming. Might be the new "Vietnamese Eastman".....
Pics and review soon....
