Following some great feedback from the folks on the CBOM section I ended up with a Fylde Octavius OM which I really like, it has a lovely warm tone.

However, I bought a case with it which is the one for the new Touchstone OM and it is far too big.

So I need a good gig bag for it and I thought I would illicit some suggestions from the learned and enlightened CBOM players.

I have seen some new tribal planet ones that look good in the photos but will it fit.

Remember that the Octavius is sort of Lute shaped rather than round.

Good luck with that Gaelen...
I've spend a long time looking for the right gig bag for oddly shaped or proportioned instruments. The only perfect solution is to have one custom made, but of course that is expensive. Banjo bags can work for OM's with round bodies... but for a more elongated one, I think you will have some difficulty. Sorry to break it to you...

I have a Blue Heron TB gigbag that has a pear-shaped body. Perhaps this model would work.

Blue Heron will make one to order for you at very little extra money. They do nice work.

FWIW.
