I've got a MM Beanblossom that is playable and doesnt sound too awful for what I paid for it. I'd say if setup playable a decent starter mandolin or beater, which is what I got it for.

My back up mandolin is a Bean Blossom and it intonates up the neck fine and plays quite nicely.

It doesn't have the tone or volume of the much more expensive mandolins but for the money definately not a bad option.

I briefly owned an F5 Morgan Monroe (can't remember the model #). #It was beautiful but I was very disappointed with the tone and volume. #For the same money, you'll get a much, much nicer mandolin from a company such as Mid Missourri or by building your own.
