Yeah, but hey, what do you expect at that price? The starting bid is only $15,400. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laugh.gif http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laugh.gif http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laugh.gif

Would that have had gear below worm tuners?

Yup, it's a 12 fret neck. An odd mandolin.

Ah, so the bridge is where it belongs, then? It looks in the same basic spot on the Archive shot, too.

Having the bridge that low gives it an ever-so-Strad-O-Lin look dontcha think? http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

That it does. Hey, I thought you were Oregon Mike! How'd you let an interloper take your rightful name? http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laugh.gif

These things make me wonder what they were thinking...

If anyone made a repro of that thing today he would be lambasted for all the "errors". 12 fret neck? Logo not slanted? What in the world is that A-style pickguard doing on there? Etc, etc.
