Before You Accuse Me

Hi, #I learned a pretty good blues song this morning, Before You Accuse Me, from[B]from Eric Clapton's Unplugged CD. #He did it in the key of E on some obscure 6 stringed instrument, which by the way, he played well enough. #It suits me better on my mando in the key of G with just 3 chords (G, C and D) and a simple instrumental break. #Some of the lyrics are a bit tough to fit in, but it's a good, fun and mellow blues tune.

Mike, I tried that Clapton site and it is pretty good: a keeper.

#Mike and Ira, I looked up Clapton's six stringed instrument in my BOOK OF OBSCURE MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS. # It is a guitar, pronounced GEE' TAR. # They are said to be good for backing up mandolins. #Who knows, maybe over time they will catch on in this country.

i can't imagine they could get too popular, they seem so big and unwieldly. and they have some kinda wierd tuning too! just a fad if you ask me.

Maybe so, Ira, but who ever thought people would pay good money for a bottle of water. Did I mention that the guitar thing has six SINGLE strings? Wierd huh?
