Today is midsummers eve which is celebrated here in Sweden (outside preferably). This morning it was raining hard, and I wrote this tune for the mandolin. Recorded it and put in on YouTube.

Now the sun is shining again, and the festivities can commence. Life is good! #http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Very cool, and 3 parts! Nice use of drones and double stops. I think I can here a little Monroe and Compton in there. Nice tone, too!

Edit: and I just saw your "Monroebelia". Very good!

Very nice and that mando sounds wonderful.

p.s. Good job on Monroebilia, I'm sure Compton would approve.

Thanks you all!
This was one of those tunes that just fell down on me. I love when that happens!

Wow! Really nice song, Jonas. I think Bill would be jealous. I also love the sound of your mandolin in this video.

Infectious tune (which is a good sign). After listening to it a coupla times last night, I caught myself singing and humming it this morning. Very nice Jonas! Thanks for sharing! I love that string bend you put in.

Very nice! Any chance of getting the sheet music?

Well, though I wrote 'penned' above, the tune wasn't actually penned in the literal sense. So I'm afraid there are no sheet music for this, and probably never will be.

If there were a sheet music for the tune, you'd be the first to get it though! http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

I'll have to learn it the hard way. Very nice tune, Jonas. Has an old timey flare but is more sophisticated than most of the old tunes.
