If we can obtain the rights, 12,000 + members should all play "Happy Birthday" at 1200 EDT, key of G, #1/4 note = 100. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Ted,
Congrats!
If life really does begin at forty then this birthday makes you a cool 10 year old. Perhaps this is why you have such a wonderful relationship with your daughter. Having turned fifty myself just two years ago you will notice how I have learned to rationalize age quite nicely. You will learn this skill also. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

I've been hanging on to a signed Loar mando to give you on this very occasion but I seem to have mislaid it. I'll send it on when it turns up.

Will you be at Summer NAMM? We might have to have a little celebration if you are.

Welcome to the Fifties Ted. It seems to be a great time of life for many people. I am at the other end of my Fifties and This has been a great decade. It seems that little things mean so much less to us at this age and it is easy to understand what is really important in life. May you have a happy birthday and many more years.

Happy Birthday Ted! #

I also turned 50 on June 3rd, most of the time I feel like 29, and sometimes I feel like a teenager but that might just be confusion.... #Maybe AARP made a mistake as they have been sending me junk mail for a couple of months. #How do they know, half the time I can't remember how old I am. # http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rock.gif

Not sure why everybody makes such a big deal about turning fortyten. Fortytwelve is no big deal either.

There's an old joke we used to tell from the stage.
"Playing music sure keeps you young. All this fun makes me feel like a 25 year old again except my wife would kill me if she found out...)"
By the way it's also Junior Brown's birthday today for all you guitsteel players!

I knew T showed a lot of youthful exuberance. Never thought I'd be thinking, "Oh, to be 50 again, and know what I know now..."
