Back/ sides: vintage mahogany?

Hi all,
I was just wondering if any/ how many vintage Gibson mandos were built with mahogany back & sides.

In addition, did birch back/ sides disappear completely once Loar came into the picture?

I believe the Loar L5 guitars had birch backs (?).
