Another thread about a made up riff reminded me of this conundrum. It constantly happens to me that I come up with something that I think is original and sounds good, only to realize weeks or months later that it is from a song that had been buried deep in my memory.
We have the ability to search text and images. I wonder if there would be any way to create an archive where we could search riffs... I've got one right now that everyone who hears it says they know it, but can't place it.
Anyway, is anything like that out there?
