Well I am certain I'll need a lesson with an instructor towards the end of this year or early next. Anyone here in the midwest, and willing for a one on one lesson in the future. I'll pay what I need for a good source of direction. I'm currently working through the Bickford mandolin method. Anyone, Anyone, Bueller, Bueller. Thanks all email me or post here thanks John http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rock.gif

Here is the list from the CMSA (http://www.mandolincafe.com/cmsa/instructors.html). Most of these folks are prob more classically oriented.

There is also the list of Mandolin Cafe Instructors (http://www.mandolincafe.com/cgi-bin/instructors/instructors.cgi?search_and_display_db_button=on). You could also place a student looking for instructor ad there.

Maybe some one else knows of specific folks in your area.

Good luck.

Jim

I was actually hoping to meet up with someone who frequents this board. At least as a first choice. Thanks for the links Jim that Vega is playing great. John http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif

Mikail Litvin teaches at the Wisconsin COnservatory of Music in Milwaukee. He is newly here from Belarus (Minsk) and is a very good teacher and a fine human being. I took leasons from him and they were very rewarding. Technique, technique, techinque. Especailly right hand. Also big on the duo method.
