Recieved my new Glenn mandolin from Allen Jones on May 29th.
I was totally amazed at the sound and workmanship the first time I picked it up. This thing sings. It is balanced and has a tone to die for. The bass is deep and mellow and the trebles are cutting and sweet. It sounded great the first time I played it but it has done nothing but get better everyday for the 3 1/2 weeks that I have had it. Plays like butter. I don’t have to play hard either because it is loud. It has a red spruce top and maple back and sides, and is triple bound. The french polish varnish finish is beautiful and really brings out the woody tone. This one is a keeper. The price is unbelievable also. I have #50 which is pretty neat considering that Bryan Sutton owns #49. I have attatched a picture and will post more later. I have also included Allen’s website. I have no financial interest....yada yada.
P.S. The mandolin hasn't gotten a rest since iv'e had it.
