I've been having a little trouble with my photo program but will try to post a few pics of two F-5s built simultaneously and just born over the last couple weeks.

Nice. That's a sweet sunburst. What type of finish was used?

The burst was done with Universal tints from Stu-Mac in alcohol base applied by pad and airbrush. The finish is oil varnish.

I forgot to mention that #4 is Adirondac over Red maple. I played it exclusively in performing at a festival this past weekend and like it so well that it will be painful when I let it go.

Even the chair in your pics looks interesting. Did you use a torch inlay for the headstock?

It is a torch based on the early 1900s Gibsons without the frills and my take on the flames. I have closeups of the finished pegheads that i won't be able to access for a few days but can repost an in the white peghead view.

do you have a web site?

I don't know Jason, you might just have to rassle my brother to get it out of his photo studio. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif I am fortunate to have him doing my pics for me. He started out as a race car photog about 35 years ago and had pictures published in well known magazines as well as the NY Times. He settled into mainline studio photography (John Wilson Photography) here in Bakersfield, CA and has shown to be very adept at doing musical instruments. When we did the 1st LoarFest West in 06 he shot a nice spread for Fretboard Journal on the event.
