This is a Carver, from Chris Standridge in Vancouver, WA.
The beautiful color and finish quality is not well served at all by my camera skill.
It has a sweet. complex tone, that might be anticipated for an Englemann top.
It also has a brash, loud, punch when you dig in. Very good volume.
I appreciate the fact that Chris seems to always be trying something new, pushing the envelope slightly here and there. As I understand it, this one has a slightly increased arch to the back, shifted tone bars, and a fixed trussrod. The net result is a nice tone and strong voice. This has to be one of the nicest sounding mandos I have heard. It has a different voice than an Adirondack topped mando, but I like the complexity of Englemann.
I have had it for a few months but seeing as this was our first 60 degree day in over 6 months, and one of the few recently with any sunlight to speak of, I thought it was time to shoot and share.
