Here's a another standard request for any knowledge of where I might find chord book/CD material dedicated to left-handers.

Any thoughts?

Hold the book to a mirror?

Interesting request. As a lefty I never had an issue with right handed instructional material. Perhaps I just imaging the mirroe!

Would it make a difference if you are learning to play a right handed instrument upside down or getting a left handed one to start with.

I've never had a problem with tab or chord shapes as a lefty either. In fact I find it really easy to picture a righty in front of me doing the chord I see in the book. My fingers then mirror what I'm seeing very easily.

Righty chords will look correct for you if your minds eye sees them as if you were looking at your strings from behind through your fingerboard.

Cheers,
Pete

Thankyou for your input. This is probably more of a dislexic issue rather than a lefty issue. My brother thinks I'm wacked. Once I really started to think about it tho I did come up with a pos solution for my problem. I'm going to scan a mando chord chart into my computer and flop it in Photoshop and print it out again. I'll let you know if it works out.:)

you can find a lefty chord chart that is a small sized poster on ebay for like $8. I bought one way back in the beginning http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laugh.gif
