My neighbor has one of these Japan made electric mandolins in very good condition. He asked if i could research it's value
for him. I really havn't been able to find much info on it frankly. Any body know anything about the Kent 744 electric mandolin? I think is about 10-15 years old.

Thanks!

'Course they don't really look like a little telecaster. These pop on Ebay and there's a long topic down in the electrics section for Ebay posts. I think they go in the $300-400 range. It appears difficult to search on "Kent" without also getting the "Kentucky" listings.

Yeah I know what you mean... the only link I've found thus far was the afore mentioned above and a beat up one on Ebay. thanks!

I recently sold one of the blond ones for $450. They were made in the mid-60s, so they're considerably older than 10-15 years. I have seen people ask more than $450 for them, but I haven't seen them get it. There are enough Kent 744s around that no one really needs to pay more.
