He only performed one song, other than participating in the house band. He played the Gillian Welch tune from How TO Grow A Woman From The Ground album. Just he and his mando.
I wish he'd do an entire album with just his mando, solo. A mix of songs and instrumentals. That would be great.

Judging by his current music, I think he's going in the opposite direction. His musical breaks in the show I saw in New Haven and on the Woodsongs concert with his current band show me he doesn't care as much about being flashy. He integrates into the band a lot more. His compositions emphasize that waterfall, flow sound, the combinations much more than traditional, "can you top this?!" bluegrass / jazz breaks.
