I haven't seen THIS before. It says it's a "pro" instrument -- maybe for WWF...

I'm digging it, I think I could do some damage with that.

Why doesn't it have a fiddle, keyboard, and drum set too? If it did, I might pull the trigger. (check out the photo of the vendor/luthier; I'd probably enjoy hanging with this guy...but I wonder if he's smoked enough pot?)

Intended for the "average to advanced" player...

Would the average player use this? (doh!--talk about MAS http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mandosmiley.gif --can you imagine the electronics in this thing!? There's room for a lava lamp in the "mando" body portion..)

I'll paypal ten bucks to anyone who gets drunk enough to buy this thing tonight (where is the BIN option?)

I'm sure there's an integrated duggout, spring loaded no doubt.

Wow, some folks could shorten their signature blocks up a bunch with that thing and not lose nothin'!! I want one but only if it comes with a custom fitted hardshell case! http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

I love how the bid is about $16 but the shipping cost is $135.00!

Take a look at this (http://www.mandolincafe.net/cgi-bin/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=13;t=52051;hl=needs) thread from a few weeks ago. I think this is an epidemic.

To some people professional means you headline at Carnegie Hall. To others professional means you play in the park and people (sometimes) throw money in your case. Perhaps professional means you'll need a healthcare professional to fix your hernia.

Okay, sorry...but, Ted's:

"S'pose here's a case where a truss is a bigger issue than a truss rod."

...is a winner http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laugh.gif

Those photos of individuals actually posing with the thing look genuinely dangerous--perhaps the beast should come with playing instructions stating "do not play without proper wear protecting the, ahem..."privates" http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rock.gif

I propose to name this monster the "Tennessee Poser."
