Hello to all,
I am mandolin player from Czech Republick
I am glad, that I found this forum
There do not play many people on mandolin in Czech Republick
and here is very poor choice of baying F style mandolin.
So I bought my first F-style mandolin Copley mandolin CFM 200 from Ebay.(for about §200)(until now I had portugal style, or italian style mando)
I would like to ask you for help
Have any of you any experience with this brand ?
Is possible to compare this mandolin with other mandolins like Morgan Monroe, or Michael Kelly mandolins which cost about §500?
It is a pity that I can not see and play these mandolins before baying.
Which of mandolin in cost about §500-§700 would you advise to me?
And I bought for this mando strings:D'Addario EXP74 Phosphor Bronze . Is it good choice?
What string do you use?
Thank you for advise

Pavel

Pavel,
There are some superb mandolin makers in your country. Here (http://www.mandolincafe.com/cgi-bin/builders/searchdb.cgi?uid=default&view_records=1&keyword=czech&submit=Search) is a list for you.
As for players, I would suggest talking to the makers. They will send you to the players.
The strings you have chosen are good ones.
Good luck,
Bill
